Passing fad #213
Eh lakin - to suddenly take a bad policy decision.
Muizzuvun - when a government official does something incompetent when doing public works projects.
This is a test of the dictation function on the computer. This might be a cool way to record my thoughts.
I have so many thoughts that run through my head and especially in the evenings where the floodgates have opened and the trains of thoughts are crisscrossing on all lines through all stations at once. I do feel that there are some thoughts of value that occur sometimes and therefore would like to try and write them down. I feel the thoughts arrive because I’m in a certain position or frame of mind but let’s see if I am able to sit in front of a laptop and try to catch a ride on some of those trains.
I feel like I’m at a crossroads in my life. I need to make my life have some meaning in a way that is fulfilling. There’s a lot of things that get me excited and the only way I can get my hands dirty doing many things is by being an entrepreneur. It’s probably a synonym for aimless as well. But right now I’m on the journey of self discovery that will hopefully lead to my salvation. I don’t think I’m anywhere near reaching the target but I still feel good knowing that I’m on my way. And being self aware about what you want and where I am and where I want to be is a good feeling.
This Tweet sums up everything that is wrong in the Maldives for me. You do not invoke a third person to do your dirty work (especially an imaginary one!). Even if you did, the fact that you want something bad to happen to them rather than them seeing the error of their ways and repenting from the citizens, I don’t see the problem ever going away because it breeds a perpetual cycle of hatred. There has to be another way. Let me sleep on it!
I’m not necessarily interested in getting ahead in life as someone who thrives on capitalism. But I’d also like to see if I can compete alongside them and beat them at their own game!
The perpetual quest for economic growth has turned humankind into an agent of extinction, through the systematic undervaluing of the ecosystemic services that keep our Earth alive.
I like whoever it is that invented sarcasm. Here is a Like, I hope you get a notification up there in heaven!
Imagine the size of an ant’s brain. We do not necessarily consider them to be intelligent creatures unlike ourselves. But if they can work together (as unaware about existence as they are) to built amazing colonies and literally move mountains, how can we claim to be so clever and superior? We are unable to work together on simple things and specially things that have ramifications for all of us, humans, as a species. I am sad for humanity in general.
